Title: Artistic Director Needed
Duties:
- Direct and lead musical rehearsals and performances; arrange auditions and consider such factors as ensemble size and abilities, availability of score, and the need for musical to be performed.
- Compose music for request from special programs such as film festival, arts festival;
- Participate in music program production by studying budget, background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.
- Use music knowledge, composition and conducting skills to lead the choir and instrumentalists to achieve optimum effect on music performance. Interpret the work of composers for productions.
- Study voice, rhythm, tone and tempo of every individual and coach them individually to improve their musical skills. Audition and select performers for musical presentations;
- Enhances art department and organization; exploring opportunities to add value to department accomplishments;
- Meets art department cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions. Recommend policies to improve the art department;
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships with producers, artists’ managers, composers and other industry contacts;
- Stay updated on latest developments in music industry.
